You can count on a Spaniard to take his furniture with him when he sells you his house. If you're willing to pay extra however, he might consider to leaving it behind. Generally he'll ask a hefty fee in return, if you don't pay up he'll take it with him.
Now when a Spaniard buys a house he will want the furniture that's in it without paying for it. It's fair to say that in general the Spanish will always try to take advantage of your ignorance. Anyway, in most countries it's not customary to leave your furniture behind.
Make sure you settle this beforehand, save yourself a lot of bother afterwards.
HipoteCasa will enable you to look before you leap and save you from expensive mishaps!
